The Taiwanese Representative Office in Lithuania, in cooperation with the US Embassy in Lithuania, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, and the Civic Resilience Initiative (CRI), cohosted a Global Cooperation and Training Framework (GCTF) Franchise Workshop in Vilnius on September 4 and 5, 2025. The event centered on the theme of strengthening supply chain resilience.

The workshop gathered representatives from Taiwan, Lithuania, the United States, Palau, and Japan across government, industry, and academia to discuss three major topics: “Rethinking Supply Chains,” “Innovation and Flexibility,” and “Public-Private Partnerships.” Palauan Minister of Justice Jennifer Olegeriil shared Palau’s experience in countering economic coercion, while Ambassador Roy Lee, Taiwan’s Representative to the EU and Belgium, delivered a keynote speech online on economic resilience amid rising geopolitical tensions.

The workshop attracted nearly 110 participants from multiple sectors, reflecting the high importance that countries attach to supply chain resilience. Since its launch in 2015, the GCTF has grown into an important platform for international capacity building. This marked the second time a GCTF event has been held in Lithuania, underscoring Taiwan’s determination and commitment to contributing to the international community.
